Mickey 9s

Anybody who knows the Scottish music scene will tell you that Mickey 9s are one of the most exciting bands to see live. The irreverent four piece from Glasgow combine elements of dance, punk, post-funk and disco into a blistering, genre-defying groove that sends crowds into a frenzy. They are previous Best Live Act Winners at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

After releasing their third album Modern Kunst in 2021, Mickey 9s found that their heaviest work to date was also the most popular amongst their (now cult) following. Since that album’s release, they have had five sold-out in a row Glasgow gigs in The Garage, Room 2 (twice), King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and SWG3 Warehouse, two tours around the country and they have now turned their attention towards creating new music for their fans after a busy 2023 Summer playing festivals across Scotland and England; Eden Festival, Kelburn Garden Party, ButeFest, Solfest and Outwith Festival.

The band’s eagerly anticipated fourth album, Impressive Snake, is due for release in Spring 2024 with a Glasgow album launch party to be announced. They have released the following singles from it so far; ‘Impossibility’, ‘Dream’ and ‘Moments Go’. The band will be on the road playing multiple towns and cities across Scotland from February onwards and will have another busy festival season with MugStock Festival already announced and more festival announcements to follow it.

Motopia ∞

“A fresh and powerful dynamic, Motopia have been encouraging self-expression and exploring social consciousness since getting together in 2023. They made their way around the UK festival circuit after the success of their first headline show and went on to collaborate with She Drew The Gun throughout the summer. The front woman, Mo, has been described as someone who has the energy of a, “punked up Kate Bush”, as they deliver high energy and expressive performances. They are working to release their first single at the beginning of this year (2024) and can’t wait to get out and play their upcoming gigs and festivals.”

The Mocking Byrds  are a guitar based rock n roll band from Ayrshire and they are taking this year's festival season by storm!

Lead singer Jason Skimming makes his comeback after fronting popular Ayrshire band "Seaside Sons" for several years, where he released 2 studio albums and shared stages with artists such as Cast, Space, Dodgy and many more.  Guitarist Gavin Mcmulkin started his musical journey in Redeye, back in the 90s and then became a gun for hire. Playing alongside members of The Supernaturals, GUN, SAHB and Rory Gallagher in various guises over the years, including touring with award winning songwriter Colin Clyne. He was also voted in the top 100 fender stratocaster players of all time in 2007.

John Lauchlan is the man behind the drums and he brings his explosive, hard hitting rock rhythms to the mix. His experience includes both Edinburgh and Glasgow live gig venues including playing at the Scottish Emergenza finals at the O2 Academy in front of a packed crowd. He has also had plenty of session work over the years playing for artists in the rock, funk and pop genres.

Glen McKay completes the line-up and takes care of the low end as the bass player. He has played in several bands over the years and has played many well-known venues along the way. Influenced by both old school and modern day guitar-based rock music.
