BLACKLEAF 40 are a 7 piece outfit based in Ayrshire Scotland. With a well earned reputation for being a great live band, they have been performing at many music venues around the UK for over a decade. The band have also been busy in the recording studio over the years writing and producing a substantial number of songs. Their first album 'Artificial Bliss' released in 2015, was the realisation of that creativity. They have followed this up in 2022 with a brand new batch of original tunes on the self titled album 'Blackleaf 40' which is available now.

Previous Gigs include:  King Tuts, The Ferry, Kirkmichael Festival, Arran Rock and Blues Festival, Dunure Festival of The Sea, Prestfest, Live@Troon & the John Martyn Summer Gathering in Yorkshire.  Blackleaf 40 are actively writing new material, increasing its repertoire of covers and looking for suitable gig opportunites.

PREACHER, made history as the first unsigned band to headline at O2 ABC1, Glasgow releasing SIGNALS.

"Hi. We are please to announce our return to stage. Around Covid lockdown we lost lead guitarist Greg Murphy when he made a permanent job move to Aberdeen. Since then we auditioned numerous lead guitarists that did not make the cut. Greg's boots were difficult to fill!! We also replaced our drummer and bass guitarist.

Founder members Martin Murphy on vocals and rhythm guitar and Arnie Burgoyne on stage piano and keys and Ron Rodger on acoustic guitar are now complimented with our new members Richard McPike on lead guitar, Norrie Dickson on bass and Stevie Scott on drums. The new members bring their own twist to Preachers original sound.

We are playing a set early evening on Friday the 10th at venue 38 supporting Black Leaf 40 and hope that you can manage along."
