‘You Decide’ - the 2nd single for 2022 from Glaswegian alt-rockers Lonehead - is out this June on
Scottish start-up iOcco Music. Written during a creative high for the band in lockdown, following recent singles ‘Turn Yourself Around’ and ‘Bold As Brass’ which received airplay on BBC Introducing and Max Radio, ’You Decide' mixes up 80's new wave/ power pop with contemporary alternative rock in a musical snapshot of a conversation with the person in the mirror. The single, all about the big decisions we face, is the 2nd lead track from the Scottish alt-rockers follow-up album to debut ‘Wonderful & How
To Get It’.
“Lyrically, the track reflects the current focus on mental health and personal disillusionment in todays on-screen, post lockdown, dare I say it, fact-free digital world” says frontman Martin Jenkins.
'' ...enter the new day, this is the day I face myself...'' ''...to reach for the other side or stepping back from the edge...''
With Scottish producer Stuart McCredie on production (The Fratellis, Simple Minds, Texas), ‘You Decide’ keeps the Scots alt-rockers flame burning with widescreen, contemporary production flourishes. Taught vocals from lead singer Martin Jenkins and accomplished guitar from Jim Keilt, the track is driven by ex-Cosmic Rough Rider Mark Brown's muscular drumming.
Lonehead are set to return to Scotland's live music scene this year. Singer/bassist Martin Jenkins, Guitarist Jim Keilt and drummer Mark Brown will shortly announce a run of new live dates including including The Village, East Kilbride, Dreadnaught Bathgate, Room 2, Glasgow and Bungalow, Paisley
“You Decide” is available to download and stream 24 06 22.
